Why this program

A certification that means you can do the work.

Too many security certifications test recall — memorize the definitions, pass the quiz, print the badge. UCSP tests capability. You are placed in a live environment, given objectives, and asked to compromise it. Then you write the report a client would actually receive. Both have to be good enough.

Curriculum

Six modules covering the full penetration testing stack.

The curriculum builds deliberately: fundamentals, then applications, then infrastructure, then the professional practice that turns findings into a deliverable.

  1. 01

    Security Fundamentals & Methodology

How professional engagements are structured — scoping, rules of engagement, and the methodology that keeps testing systematic instead of ad hoc.

  2. 02

    Reconnaissance & Enumeration

Building a complete picture of a target's attack surface before touching a single exploit.

  3. 03

    Web Application Exploitation

The full web vulnerability stack — injection, access control, authentication, and business logic abuse — with impact proven end to end.

  4. 04

    Network & System Exploitation

Service exploitation, privilege escalation, Active Directory attacks, and lateral movement across a realistic environment.

  5. 05

    Post-Exploitation & Attack Chaining

Combining individual findings into a complete attack narrative — the difference between a findings list and a demonstrated breach.

  6. 06

    Professional Reporting

Writing for two audiences at once: engineers who need reproduction steps, and executives who need business risk in plain language.

What you'll be able to do afterwards

  • Run a complete penetration test from scoping to final report
  • Chain individual vulnerabilities into demonstrated business impact
  • Compromise both web applications and network infrastructure
  • Produce client-ready reporting that stands up to review
  • Work as a contributing member of a professional testing team

Tools you'll work with

  • Burp Suite
  • Nmap
  • Metasploit
  • BloodHound
  • Impacket
  • Linux command line
  • Python scripting
  • Reporting frameworks

Who this is for

  • Anyone targeting a professional penetration testing role
  • Security engineers who want validated attack capability
  • IT professionals making a structured career transition
  • Teams standardizing internal red-team skills
Certification

The exam: 100% practical, fully proctored

There is no multiple choice. You are given access to a live environment and a set of objectives, and you have a fixed window to achieve them and document how.

Uncrypt Certified Security Professional (UCSP)

  • A live target environment built specifically for the exam
  • Fixed time window, remotely proctored throughout
  • Defined objectives requiring real exploitation to achieve
  • A full professional report submitted alongside your results
  • Both exploitation and report must pass independently

The UCSP credential is issued by Uncrypt and reflects demonstrated practical ability in our exam environment. It is an independent credential and is not affiliated with or accredited by any external certification body.

Questions

  • The exam is entirely practical and includes a report. Many certifications test whether you can recognize an answer; ours tests whether you can compromise a live environment and communicate it professionally.
